Causes of Irregular Menstruation

3. Diet
Other causes of irregular menstruation is food intake and body weight. Excessive consumption of carbohydrates and fat makes the body produces certain hormones that shifts the time of ovulation.The same goes for women who lost weight.

4. Sport
The body needs energy to happen period. Excessive exercise and burn too much energy to make the body needs more time to prepare the menstrual cycle.

A complication that led to the formation of cysts on the ovaries that affects ovulation. Other symptoms of this condition include hair growth, weight loss, dandruff and infertility. Complications, including endometriosis, ovarian cancer and heart disease.

7. Menopause
As with any pregnancy, the body's hormone levels at the age of late 40's or early 50's would shift the menstrual cycle.

8. Drugs
The use of certain drugs affect delayed menstrual period for several days. Therefore, the drug affects the body in producing estrogen and progesterone.
